Omar Bravo scored within the first three minutes of the game and the match was over. Tigres tried to equalise but Chivas controlled posession and did nothing with it for most of the match.
In the return leg of the semifinals, Chivas got one step closer to reaching the World Club Cup in Japan by beating DC United, in a game where the team that made less mistakes won.
Chivas lost away at San Luis, in a very poor display from the team in general, but especially the strikers. In an unremarkable game, a good goal by Marcelo Guerrero made the difference.
I hope my Chivas play better tonight against DC United for the return leg of the Concacaf Champion's Cup Semis.
It's funny how usually in the Beeb the country is mentioned only for the wrong reasons, but now they have a nice article about a system that is being investigated in Mexico for supposed corruption.
In a game that was probably not the best they've had in a while, Chivas scored two important goals to beat Morelia at home. Especially impressive was the first one, by Bofo Bautista.
Not the result I expected, Chivas lost the Superclásico against rivals América in Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium. It is the first time in 2 years (7 matches) that the holy flock loses against our most bitter opponent. Américas goalie and NT material, Francisco Guillermo Ochoa, steered them to victory with 3 saves against Omar Bravo.
Chivas didn’t perform that well in the rain on Thursday, and they let a win slip at the last moments of the game. Let’s hope that they wake up on the return leg, because we want to see them play in Japan.
We have come to the conclusion, my fiancée (Finnish) and I (Mexican), that she cooks better mole poblano with chicken, whereas my specialty is salmon with dill.
Believe me, Mexican rice and salmon with ginger and dill makes a powerful combination.
